Do not fear rules in a constitutional country like Nepal. Fear the corrupted system instead.
We lived in fear for centuries.
We feared darkness because evils found us as prey in the absence of light.
We feared the consequences of not complying with his needs because we lived under his roof.
We feared putting our voices in a room full of suited men because the government was their property.
We feared exploring our pleasure because our vagina held the dignity of our families.
We lived in fear for centuries.
Then we marched. We marched with great effort. Physically, mentally, socially, psychologically, and economically, we marched. Shifting from fear to freedom was arduous, but we did it for ourselves and for future generations.
Liberation taught us to make rules and to draw boundaries. We made two rules: Ask for our consent and do not touch our minor children. Oh Goodness! We never knew men too lived in fear for centuries. See how some men are downright scared that the rules will harm them. Ill-intention fears rules while we fear security.
Let men fear rules. We lived in fear for centuries.
